It will likely come as no surprise to hear that, as many celebrities do, Khloe Kardashian has had some work done. But now, she’s chosen to speak openly about exactly what she’s had done to her face.
There’s been endless speculation, side-by-side comparisons and surgeon-led explainers over the years, particularly directed at the Kardashian family’s faces and bodies. Much of which has been met with deafening silence – until recently.
In the past month both Kris and Kylie Jenner have gotten candid on social media about surgery and cosmetic procedures. The latter, surprising followers by replying to a fan’s request for details on her breast implants to take to her own surgeon.
After years of women denying that cosmetic intervention is to thank for their youthful appearance – further fuelling unrealistic beauty standards amongst women – suddenly, the veil of secrecy is being lifted. Why now?

“We’ve moved from secrecy and stigma to empowerment and ownership,” US plastic surgeon, Dr Lara Devgan, told People.
“Today’s public figures are reclaiming their narratives, acknowledging that looking beautiful often involves intention, planning and professional help from expert surgeons.”
It was again speculation over the 41-year-olds appearance by London-based aesthetic doctor Jonny Betteridge breaking down the procedures he believed Khloé might have had, that saw her reveal the details.

Khloe Kardashian Reveals Plastic Surgery & Cosmetic Procedures
Undoubtedly our favourite of the Kar-Jenner clan, Khloe cleared up any confusion with her typical no BS demeanor.
“I take this as a great compliment! I think these photos are about 15 years apart, but here’s a list of things that I have done,” she wrote in response to the video.
She went on to reconfirm she has had a nose job, sculptra where her “face tumour was removed”, Sofwave laser treatments and “filler in the past but not any over the last few years.”
Topping off the list were “collagen baby Threads underneath my chin and neck” and “Salmon sperm facials/regular facials, peptides, vitamins and daily skin care.”
Ultimately, the choice to have work done and share the details is a personal preference, but the growing shift around transparency is a welcome one to (so very) slowly breaking down unrealistic beauty standards.
