Nike
Activewear giant Nike announced the launch of Nike (M), the brand's first collection of maternity workout clothes. The new collection includes four staple pieces, with each item designed to expand and contract with a woman’s body throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period. Data from more than 150,000 body scans of women helped the design team understand exactly how the body grows and changes, as well as being personally tested by over 30 female athletes.
Good American
Khloé Kardashian knew first-hand the need for good maternity wear (especially when it comes to workout gear), so she and Emma Grede launched Maternity Performance, an extension of their Good American activewear line that focuses on mothers-to-be and new mums. Of course, Kardashian gave it her own tick of approval while expecting her first child, True Thompson.
Bae
"Made for real mums, by real mums", Bae The Label offers up chic, versatile and uncomplicated pieces for every stage of pregnancy. From leggings to tanks to entire outfit bundles, the Australian-founded brand proves maternity style can be everything but boring.
Lorna Jane
A fan favourite among the activewear crowds, Lorna Jane's maternity collection provides the same reliable, comfortable and all-purpose pieces wearers have come to expect from the brand. Offering up their signature styles - including the tights, tanks and specialised nursing sports bras - the brand has everything an expecting mum could need.
ModiBodi
While not necessarily activewear in the traditional sense, ModiBodi's line of leak-proof maternity underwear is a must for those expecting. Created for mums and mums-to-be, the line of extra-gentle, ultra-absorbent underwear was designed for everything from unwanted sweat to a weak pelvic floor. The label's signature Show Me The Milk maternity singlet is also a go-to for "pesky leaky boobs."
Lenny Rose Active
Designed locally in Australia by "chief-mum" and physiotherapist Rosie Dumbrell, Lenny Rose Active is not just a clothing brand - but an educational hub to share pregnancy and motherhood-related information and inspire mums and mums-to-be to live their "healthiest and happiest life." It also offers a loyal and informative community of like-minded women through its social media.
Active Truth
When Zoe Foster Blake personally recommended Active Truth while pregnant with first child Sonny, we immediately knew they wouldn't disappoint. Founded by duo Stevie and Nadia, the brand looks to celebrate women regardless of size, shape or stage of life by offering performance activewear across an inclusive size range.
The Ten Active
Founded by entrepreneur, mum-of-three and self-confessed "activewear lover" Liz Henderson, The Ten Active was found on the idea that you (and your bump) need good quality, comfortable activewear for actually living in. The brand creates a bespoke collection of pieces for pregnancy and beyond, designed specifically to grow with your body and featuring signature stretchable belly bands that aid in recovery.
