The Best Maternity Activewear That'll Support You (And Your Bump)

The search doesn't have to be daunting - by Grace Back

The Best Maternity Activewear That'll Support You (And Your Bump)

When you find out you're expecting, the last thing that should come to mind is: 'where on earth am I going to find maternity activewear?' But alas, that such question is one many mums-to-be face when finding out the happy news—and while the task used to be both daunting and near impossible, thankfully more and more brands are being designed with the pregnancy journey in mind.

From Nike's first-ever maternity collection to local Australian brands founded by mums for mums, there has never been more destinations to choose from when searching for the perfect set of leggings, tanks and nursing bras. And of course, like with most women and their fashion choices, maternity style is not a one-size-fits-all endeavour, which means we've tracked down all kinds of labels so you can find exactly what works best for you and your growing bump.

Below, the best maternity activewear brands to shop in Australia.

Nike

Nike (M), is the activewear giant's first collection of maternity workout clothes. The new collection includes four staple pieces, with each item designed to expand and contract with a woman’s body throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period. Data from more than 150,000 body scans of women helped the design team understand exactly how the body grows and changes, as well as being personally tested by over 30 female athletes.

Good American

Khloé Kardashian knew first-hand the need for good maternity wear (especially when it comes to workout gear), so she and Emma Grede launched Maternity Performance, an extension of their Good American activewear line that focuses on mothers-to-be and new mums. Of course, Kardashian gave it her own tick of approval while expecting her first child, True Thompson.
