Channing Tatum and singer Jessie J have split, according to multiple reports. The couple began dating in October 2018, with news breaking after the pair were spotted on a mini-golf date. While it’s unclear how the two met, at the MTV Movie Awards in 2015, Jessie J and Mark Wahlberg presented the Magic Mike actor with the award for Best Comedic Performance and the now couple briefly hugged on stage.

“There wasn’t any drama. They just decided to part ways and are still good friends,” a source told People

“Channing and Jessie have different priorities and focuses that don’t really align,” they added. “They had a fun relationship, but it just didn’t work out. Channing needs to be in LA a lot so he can spend time with Everly. Jessie prefers England. They are still friendly though.”

The couple rarely spoke publicly about their romance, with Jessie telling The Times: “Chan and I got photographed before our relationship was even a thing and that created such pressure,” adding, “We’ve needed time to get to know each other. We’ve just had our first holiday together, which was wonderful, but that’s all I’m saying…”

Months prior to the couple’s relationship, Tatum split from longtime partner Jenna Dewan. The couple share 6-year-old daughter Everly.

Despite Tatum staying quiet about his split with Dewan since his statement in April, Dewan told Women’s Health in July that she thinks the relationship ending was the best thing.

“It’s been a journey, and it’s been a transformation of myself — my needs and wants as a woman,” she said at the time. “I think everyone wants to hold on to what’s in front of them, but when you open your mind, saying, ‘I want what’s best for myself and my daughter,’ you have to be OK with however that looks.”

She added: “It’s OK for a relationship to change into a new form that is actually better for both people involved, and I think that’s maybe what shocked everyone so much — that it can be a positive thing. That was ultimately what happened with us.”
