It's understood that a "number of items" were stolen during the raid, with The Sun reporting that included "thousands of pounds of designer and electric goods".
The British paper suggested the thief was likely an experienced "cat burglar" who was athletic enough to climb a gate and shimmy up a drain pipe. They then broke a window to enter the house.
The £40 million home is in London's Kensington and sits in the affluent Holland Park neighbourhood, surrounded by other sprawling properties. So lavish is the area, in fact, that it's been coined 'millionaires’ row'.
Per The Guardian, the Beckham's were reportedly "shaken" by the incident.
Despite the troubling experience, the Beckhams have plenty of things to look forward to.
