Adam Sandler’s two teenage daughters are following in his acting footsteps, and their first big project is a family affair.
Sandler’s latest film, You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah, also stars his real-life daughters Sadie and Sunny as his on-screen daughters, and they are just as hilarious as their dad.
The film follows a year seven student Stacy (Sunny Sandler), as she plans her dream bat mitzvah, while drama threatens her friendship with her life-long best friend. Meanwhile, Stacy’s mum (Idina Menzel) and sister (real-life sister Sadie Sandler) encourage her to make peace with her friend. The Sandler parents, Adam and Jackie, also have roles in the movie, with Adam playing Stacy’s father, and Jackie playing a woman named Gabi.
Sadie and Sunny Sandler have grown up relatively out of the spotlight, with fans shocked at how much they resembled their famous father in a rare red carpet appearance just months ago.
The teenagers and their mum joined Adam at the premiere of his film Murder Mystery 2 in March 2023, which he starred in alongside Jennifer Aniston.
It was the first time his daughters had joined him on the red carpet for a while, with both girls noticeably more grown up and even more like their famous father than their last public appearances.

Who Are Adam Sandler’s Daughters?
Sandler shares two daughters with his wife, Jackie.
Their eldest daughter, Sadie Madison Sandler was born in 2006 and is now 16 years old.
When Sadie was a toddler, Sandler Jay Leno on The Tonight Show that he had “dethroned” his wife from the position of his daughter’s favourite person, stating: “We’re very tight with this child – everything we do is about the kid, and the kid now all of the sudden worships me. It was my wife the whole time and then the last month or two, it’s all Sandler. It’s like anything I do, the kid wants to do,” he laughed.
In 2008, the couple welcomed their second daughter Sunny Madeline Sander, who is now 14 years old.
According to Sandler, his wife announced that she was pregnant with their second daughter in a very sweet way.
“I came home at night and [Jackie] kept saying ‘Sadie wants to give you a present,’ and normally Sadie falls asleep around 8. It was like quarter past 9 and I just got back from working,” he said during an appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly.
“And then Sadie hands me a little something, like a gift. And I was ‘Aww, that’s nice Sadie, thank you.’ And then Jackie kept saying ‘Open it up, open it up.’ And I open it up and it was one of those pregnancy [tests] and I was like ‘Woowww.'”
While Sandler and Jackie have kept their daughter’s online presence to a minimum, Sandler also isn’t afraid to share anecdotes about his life with their daughters.
In 2019 during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Sandler spoke about watching his eldest daughter grow up, telling DeGeneres that the teenager was starting to talk about boys.
“You know, I drive around with [her and] her friends and I hear them talking about boys now … it’s amazing, the feelings I had about the same boys five years ago. When they would mention the kid’s name, I’d be like, ‘I love that kid.’ Now, I get very jumpy,” he joked.
