Demi Lovato had a tough 2018.
On July 24, the popular American singer suffered an overdose following a long battle with addiction.
“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet,” she wrote following the incident.
“I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well,” she added, before praising her fans for standing by her through the difficult time.

“To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time,” she remarked.
Demi entered a treatment facility following her release from an LA hospital in July, where she remained for 12 days after the overdose due to “complications”.
“She wants to be sober,” a source told People at the time. “She wants to get help. She understands that it will take a lot of work and commitment to stay healthy, but this is what she wants.”

Since being released from the treatment facility, Demi has returned to social media and has even started a new relationship.
Unfortunately, Demi’s new beau – fashion designer Henry Levy – has been embroiled in scandal since news of their relationship broke.
According to reports, Demi has begun to “shut out” her loved ones in favour of Levy.
A report from RadarOnline revealed Demi is “avoiding anyone who tries to come between them.”

Levy, and his fashion label, were sued for breach of contract, with claims against him saying he was “involved in stealing money from family, friends, clients, vendors and various third parties by authorising and performing fraudulent credit card transactions.”
Levy has defended himself against the claims.
