A huge congratulations are in order for Elyse Knowles and Josh Barker, who have announced the arrival of their first child—Sunny Barker.
The couple announced the exciting news on Instagram, sharing a sweet photo of their new bub’s feet.
“The next chapter in our lives. The best chapter yet. And it’s called Sunny ☀️ 25~2~21 Sunny Barker 💙”, the pair wrote alongside the photo.
The couple, who have been dating for seven years, first announced the exciting news in September 2020, sharing a sweet photo with a love heart covering Elyse’s belly while in the Northern Territory.
“And then there were 3 #babybarker 😝🧡,” she captioned.
Previously, the 27-year-old model opened up about her desire to start a family.
“I just keep thinking that my mum had me at 28 and, oh my gosh, I need to get going! I want one or two kids by 30,” she told Gritty Pretty. “I just don’t want to wait until too late in my life. I’d rather put family first and then career.”
It also wasn’t the first time Elyse has opened up about becoming a mum, telling WHO in 2018 that it was something she had dreamed about.
“If I wasn’t doing what I’m doing now, and having the dreams I have, I would have a baby by now,” she told the publication. “I love babies, adore them! I’m always babysitting for friends and I can’t wait to have a family.”
