This Is The Shoe With A 15,000 Wait List

And they cost under $200

US brand Everlane has an impressive track record when it comes to shoe launches: when they debuted The Modern Oxford, the brogues garnered a 6,500-person waitlist and became one of the most popular styles on Pinterest.

Now they’ve released The Day Heel, which have practically sold out in a day. If you want to snag a pair you’ll have to sign up for the waitlist, but don’t worry – they’re back in stock May 5.

Why so popular? The sleek, contemporary shape will work with just about everything you own (think of them as a Celine-inspired update on the ballet flat), plus they’ve been designed with comfort in mind – the elasticised back won’t bite and the short block heels let you walk for days.

“Ever since Phoebe Philo sent elasticised ballet shoes down the runway as part of the Céline SS 2015 collection, we’ve been reconsidering the classic,” says StyledBy marie claire editor Brittany Henderson. “Because of the streamlined shape of the toe these are a little more user-friendly – in fact our fashion assistant Mon has her heart set on the red pair!”

And did we mention they’re under $200?
