In the joyous clip shared on X (formerly Twitter), Taylor Swift cradles Meredith Grey in one arm as she and Jack Antonoff energetically recreate their iconic studio moment from the Reputation era. This time, Jack playfully takes the lead, shouting in celebration while Swift lovingly holds Meredith before gently setting her down on the floor.

Fans quickly flocked to the video, which racked up millions of views, ecstatic to finally glimpse Meredith after months of virtual absence. The cat, known for being the most reclusive of Swift’s three beloved felines, hadn’t been seen publicly since late 2023 when Ed Sheeran posted a rare photo of himself cuddling with her.

Who Is Meredith Grey?

Meredith Grey is Taylor Swift’s most elusive feline, a trait the singer has joked about herself. In a 2021 video, Swift explained, “Meredith just hates having her picture taken. She’s a really private little cat who likes her business kept to herself.” This candid admission only endeared Meredith to Swifties more, fuelling the cat’s mysterious allure.

Named after Meredith Grey from Grey’s Anatomy, Meredith joined Swift’s family in 2011 and quickly became a fan favourite for her distinct appearance and shy nature. Alongside Meredith, Swift has two other cats: Olivia Benson, another Scottish Fold named after the Law & Order: SVU character, and Benjamin Button, a Ragdoll named after the F. Scott Fitzgerald story and famously featured with Swift on the cover of TIME magazine.

The sighting of Meredith instantly ignited excitement across social media, with fans flooding comments to celebrate her well-being. “Meredith is alive and well — we won!” one fan wrote, while another cheekily commented, “Meredith wellness check complete.”

For many, any glimpse of Meredith is a cause for celebration, highlighting just how special these moments are given her private personality.
