Oroton Group has announced that they are ending their relationship with GAP, with all Australian stores to close within the next six months, The Australian reports.

There are six GAP stores in Australia: four in NSW (in the CBD, Macquarie Centre, Miranda and Parramatta) and two in Victoria (Melbourne Central and Chadstone). 50 full-time and 150 casual staff members work across the brand in Australia, smh.com.au reports, with Oroton saying they will try to keep as many people as possible in jobs.

The news comes after Topshop recently closed all its Australian stores and Marcs and David Lawrence went into voluntary administration in February 2017.
