Chloë Grace Moretz Brings Louis Vuitton Ceremony To Centre Court At The Australian Open Final

A legendary legacy

On the final night of the Australian Open, victory arrived not only with a champion, but with a house signature. As Carlos Alcaraz clinched the men’s singles title in four sets against Novak Djokovic, the scene inside Rod Laver Arena was framed by Louis Vuitton, now in its third year as an official partner of the tournament.

Before play began, the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup was presented in a bespoke Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk, carried onto court by American actor and house ambassador Chloë Grace Moretz alongside tennis great Marat Safin.

Handcrafted by artisans in the maison’s historic ateliers in Asnières, the trunk is one of two created for the 2026 Australian Open, joining a matching design made to house the women’s Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup. Both are finished in a distinctive blue, echoing the iconic tones of the tournament’s courts and stadium.

Moretz embodied the house’s contemporary codes in a black crinkled vinyl jacket and matching skirt, styled with white LV Knot pumps and Le Damier fine jewellery in yellow gold and diamonds.

Alcaraz, a Louis Vuitton ambassador, did more than win another title – he rewrote the sport’s timelines. At just 22, the world No. 1 became the youngest man to complete the career Grand Slam, adding Melbourne to a collection that already includes Paris, Wimbledon and New York.

The victory marked his seventh major title and continued a remarkable run: five Slam wins from the past eight, and success in all but one of his major finals. In surpassing his idol Rafael Nadal as the youngest to achieve the feat, the moment was made all the more poignant by Nadal’s presence in the stands.

“I came to Australia every year believing it could happen,” Alcaraz said. “This year, I wanted it more than ever. It feels like a dream.”

For Louis Vuitton, the moment extended a legacy decades in the making. Since its first sporting partnership with the America’s Cup in 1983, the house has designed trunks to present and protect the world’s most prestigious trophies – from football’s greatest prizes to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The philosophy, distilled in the phrase Victory travels in Louis Vuitton, speaks to continuity, craftsmanship and excellence.

A new champion was crowned – and, as ever, Louis Vuitton was there to carry the moment.
