The 2025 American Music Awards have arrived bringing with them some of the most eccentric and unique red carpet looks of all the awards season.
As far as the awards ceremonies go, the AMAs bring a far more relaxed (not to be mistaken for casual) and uninhibited approach to red carpet dressing. Let’s just say, if there are rules, we don’t know of them.
Some of the most iconic pop culture red carpet moments stemmed from the American Music Awards red carpet. There was everyone’s favourite noughties couple-turned-fancy-dress costume, Brittney Spears and Justin Timberlake in denim on denim… on denim.
Then, came Lizzo with her impossibly tiny bag that spurred an entire micro mini bag movement.
And who can forget Pamela Anderson with now ex, Tommy Lee, who donned a semi sheer dress and the biggest hat to ever walk a red carpet.
This year, all eyes will be on Taylor Swift who is expected (or hoped) to make a ‘Reputation TV’ announcement. Will her outfit be filled with easter eggs? Fans are sure to promptly inform us.
Other 2025 AMA nominees we can’t wait to see include Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Benson Boone, Shaboozey and Sabrina Carpenter.
Jennifer Lopez is also slated to host this year’s awards, and with the honour we expected at least a few outfit changes.
