Met Monday has officially arrived in Australia. However, thanks to the time difference, we’ll be waiting until the early hours of tomorrow morning for the first arrivals to hit the steps. With the 2026 event just hours away, consider this your primer on who to expect at fashion’s biggest night.
This year’s Met Gala will be co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams. The trio will, of course, be in attendance, alongside the evening’s host committee. This year’s 27-person group is led by Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz, and offers one of the clearest indications of who will walk the carpet, as members are typically expected to attend.
Beyond that, past years offer a reliable blueprint. Regular attendees, brand ambassadors, and those closely aligned with the exhibition’s theme tend to return, while red carpet livestream hosts are often drawn from fashion’s inner circle.
The jury is still out on a handful of headline names. Will Harry Styles step out to join Zoë Kravitz as a (newly engaged) couple? Could newcomers such as Heated Rivalry stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams make an appearance? Will Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce make their long-speculated debut as a couple?
Ahead, we break down exactly who will and who is most likely to be in attendance at the 2026 Met Gala.
Which Celebrities Are Confirmed To Attend The 2026 Met Gala?
Met Gala 2026 Co-Chairs: Nicole Kidman, Beyoncé, Venus Williams

Leading the evening (and confirmed to attend) are co-chairs Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour. The event marks Beyoncé’s first appearance in a decade, following her 2016 turn at “Manus x Machina” in Givenchy Haute Couture.
Kidman and Williams, meanwhile, remain Met Gala regulars, both attending last year’s “Superfine” exhibition. Kidman opted for sculptural Balenciaga, while Williams wore a custom Lacoste ensemble.
Speaking on the Las Culturistas podcast, Kidman recently reflected on her return to co-chairing duties: “This is the third time I’ve co-chaired [the Met Gala], but to do it now… I’m so, so happy. And my daughter Sunday will be coming. She loves fashion.”
Since 2018, the Met Gala has maintained a firm 18-and-over policy, with organisers noting the late-night event is not considered appropriate for younger guests. As Sunday Rose does not turn 18 until July, just two months after this year’s gala, her potential attendance has raised questions as to whether the rule is relaxing.
If so, it may open the door for other next-generation attendees, including Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. For now, we’ll have to wait and see!
Met Gala 2026 Host Committee

Alongside the official co-chairs, the Met Gala also appoints a host committee—an influential group whose members are typically expected to walk the red carpet. This year’s line-up includes Zoë Kravitz, Lisa, and Sabrina Carpenter—all familiar fixtures at fashion’s biggest night.
The full committee includes:

Met Gala 2026 Red Carpet Correspondents & Livestream Hosts

Ashley Graham, La La Anthony, and Cara Delevingne will lead this year’s on-camera coverage, offering live commentary on the fashion and arrivals from the Met steps.
Emma Chamberlain returns as Vogue’s red carpet correspondent, marking her sixth consecutive year in the role. Since her debut in 2021, Chamberlain has become a defining presence of the gala’s digital coverage, known for her charming wit and iconic celebrity interviews.
Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos will serve as honorary chairs, reflecting their role as lead sponsors of both the gala and this year’s exhibition.
Rumoured Celebrities Attending The 2026 Met Gala
Beyond the confirmed names, the 2026 Met Gala is expected to deliver no shortage of star power. Heated Rivalry darlings Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams are expected to appear following their rapid fashion ascent, alongside Jacob Elordi, fashion’s current man of the moment, and Golden Globe winner Teyana Taylor, who hosted an ultra-private burlesque show on Saturday night to kick off the festivities.
