Even Scott Morrison Has Fashion Photoshop Fails

The Prime Minister has landed himself in a spot of embarrassment

It seems even the Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, has insecurities about his clothes. Or, more specifically, his shoes.

Not immune to the pressures of keeping ones shoes clean (because we all know that having dirty shoes is, er, such a faux pas…) the PM has been caught out trying to make his already white shoes appear, well, whiter than white.

In a photo appearing on the Prime Minister of Australia website, Morrison can be seen posing with his family on some grass. All looks normal, right? But on closer inspection, it seems Morrison has had a two shoes pasted on top of his regular ones. Say what?

Twitter user @lukehn was the first to pick up the Photoshop fail, even digging as deep as to post the original image and compare it with the retouched (if you can call it that) version. The result? Morrison is wearing a pair of VERY crisp white sneakers — both of which are actually left feet. Yep, our Prime Minister has two left feet, on his own website.

The news has, of course, gone viral, with Twitter taking the PM to town for the editing mishap under the hashtag #shoegate.

However, the Prime Minister took it in his stride, posting a statement about the Photoshop fail to his Twitter, with a picture of the original — normal looking — shoes.

It isn’t the first mishap the Prime Minister has come by in his short tenure in the top job. In October, Morrison’s personal website was compromised (in the funniest way possible), with a Melbourne man purchasing the domain name after Morrison let his subscription lapse, using his newfound power over the site by posting the song Scotty Doesn’t Know on a loop.

The shoes, which have now been cropped out of the picture on the website, might be the latest in ScoMo’s fail cache, but we’re guessing this might be first and last time the Prime Minister has a fashion-related mishap.
