Valentine’s Day is a time to celebrate all things love and romance, and there’s no denying you’ll be falling head over heels in love with Swarovski’s latest Valentine’s Day collaboration.

The company, founded in 1895 to sell the world’s finest crystals, has collaborated with designer bag label Marina Raphael to create the dreamiest crystal-encrusted bags to add to your collection.

It’s a heritage moment for both brands, with Marina Raphael actually a sixth-generation descendant of Swarovski founder Daniel Swarovski. She launched her eponymous label in 2018, with a vision to create handmade Italian-crafted handbags in daring and ambitious styles.

The Valentine’s Day collection for 2024 includes a range of crystallised handbags designed with sustainability and quality in mind. They’re the types of handbags that once in your closet, will be kept forever and even handed down through the generations.

When working on the collaboration, Raphael said she wanted to continue that ethos of challenging what a bag can look like. “A bag is useless if it is not functional, but a practical accessory that is well thought out for busy, modern women is what creates a loyal customer,” she explained.

“Through our amazing craftsmanship, we very much focus on form, functionality, and quality, so we have an impeccable base with which to be creative. And our new collaboration with Swarovski Creators Lab is a glittering example of this.”

Raphael has created the collection by re-imagining her popular Micro Stella Bag, embellishing it with different sized Swarovski Crystals, perfectly positioned to catch the light and add a little sparkle to your favourite outfits.

The bags are available in pastel pink, pastel blue, and a pure white, crafted from suede and Napa leather. It also comes with a cross-body strap to allow the Micro Stella to be worn in a variety of ways depending on whether you need to go hands free.

Swarovski’s collaboration goes hand in hand with their overarching Valentine’s Day plans, including the Wonder of Love collection.

The company has worked to create sparkling keepsakes that can be gifted to loved ones and celebrate “love in all its wonder”.

It includes jewellery and eyewear arranged in heart shapes with a dazzling Hyperbola centre piece to attract the light. The Hyperbola family uses a technique they call ‘Sparkling Dance’, where a levitating crystal is suspended in a domed, heart-shaped cage that captures the magic and sparkle of true love. The company has also included Swarovski Pearls in the collection, which frame some of the selected pieces.
