Matchy-Matchy Dressing Just Reached New Levels

It has the Danish stamp of approval

Trends may come and go, but everything feels better when you’re with your best friend, right? This seems to be the mentality at Copenhagen Fashion Week, which has well and truly put matchy-matchy dressing on the map.

Scores of Danes, who are well-known for their impeccable fashion taste, took to the streets with their best friend on their hip, matching outfits on and new trend in tow. Borrowing cues from the Japanese — who are famed for their love of couple dressing — these Scandi girls opted to dress in coordination with one another, using colour, pattern and shape to make their statement.

Dressing in tandem with each other, lots of our favourite influencers got in on the trend, including real-life sisters (not just fashion twins) Julia and Sylvia Haghjoo, who opted for matching white puffers and their own take on black denim, boots and cross-body bags.

Others preferred a subtle match, wearing pieces from the same designer collection or going for a look that was made up of similar shapes and styles, worn as a duo.

Matchy matchy

Call it what you will, but twin dressing is definitely the next big thing. Because if the Danes can make thongs happen, they can definitely make best friend dressing happen.
