As if Gal Gadot wasn't already bad ass enough, it turns out she was pregnant while filming some of the most intense scenes in Wonder Woman.
The new superhero movie which has blown people - and box office records - away, catapulted Gadot to fame. The role would have been challenging for any actress, let alone one who insists on doing her own stunts while five months pregnant.
The 32-year-old even had to wear a green screen baby bump version of her costume to avoid her pregnant belly showing while filming reshoots.
"On close-up I looked very much like Wonder Woman. On wide shots I looked very funny, like Wonder Woman pregnant with Kermit the Frog," Gal joked to Entertainment Weekly.
But director Patty Jenkins wouldn't let her star get away without the praise she deserved: "[Gadot's] pregnant during part of the movie, in a suit out in a field in the freezing cold in others."
"There are so many things we asked her to do: Now do it on one foot. Now shout while you’re doing it. Now it’s raining in the freezing cold and you’ve lost your voice, go. Every day it was a hilarious gauntlet and she would do it."
"Now, at least, we will be able to tell her daughter Maya that she’s in her mum’s stomach right then, in the middle of that battle scene," Jenkins added.
