Hailey Baldwin Responds To Fan’s Insisting She’s Shading Selena Gomez

After Selena released a song about Justin Bieber -

Last night, Selena Gomez released her first song since Justin Bieber married Hailey Baldwin, who he started dating just two months after they had ended their five-year-long on-again-off-again relationship. The single, ‘Lose You to Love Me’, is full to the brim with Bieber references, including a dig at how fast he moved on and nods to his bad behaviour while they were together. There’s so much to dig through that we wrote an entire article decoding it (you’re welcome).

Of course, Hailey and Justin would’ve known Selena’s song was coming – and that it was likely about her and Justin’s history. Just half an hour before the release, a time which had been promoted for weeks, the new bride posted an Instagram story many fans thought was dedicated in Selena’s direction: a screenshot of a song called ‘I’ll Kill You’.

But that’s not all: afterwards, Selena shared a note on Twitter which ended with, “See the enemy keeps trying to tear me down and it’s not going to happen. Not today. Not the next…” something fans took as her response to Hailey’s shade.

After Hailey’s social media became flooded with angry comments from Selena fans, the model addressed the situation, writing that it is “BS” and her post wasn’t about Selena.

“Please stop with this nonsense… there is no ‘response,’” she wrote on an Instagram post about the rumours. “This is complete BS.”

This isn’t the first time the couple has had to address Justin’s ex-girlfriend, either. Back in March, Justin shut down speculation that he and his new bride made things official just to rub salt in the wound (they got engaged just three months after Justin split with Selena).  “Why would I dedicate my whole life to someone in marriage to get back [at] my ex,” he wrote in an Instagram comment in March. “Anyone who believes this is mean spirited or 10 years old or younger because a logical person doesn’t talk or think this way. … I absolutely loved and love Selena she will always hold a place in my heart, but I am head over heels In love with my wife and she is absolutely the BEST THING that has ever happened to me period.”

He added, “This is a reply to all immature sick people who send Hailey hurtful messages like ‘ he always goes back to Selena’ or ‘Selena is better for him’ YOU HAVE NO IDEA MY LIFE AND WHAts good for me!! Hailey is my bride period if you don’t like that or support that that means you don’t support me and if you don’t support me your [sic] not a fan nor a good person.”

Well, there you have it. No shade here, just a pretty catchy new breakup song.
