Jennifer Aniston Admits She Almost Quit Acting Following A Recent Film That “Sucked The Life Out Of Her”

She also revealed which career path she'd potentially take

One of the biggest Hollywood icons of all time, Jennifer Aniston‘s career spans so many decades that it’s hard to imagine what our screens would look like without her.

Despite Aniston continuously adding impressive film credits to her name, she has opened up about a time when she was ready to say goodbye to the camera for good.

In a recent episode of the SmartLess podcast, Aniston opened up about her close call with fellow actors Jason Bateman (Ozark), Sean Hayes (Will & Grace) and Will Arnett (Arrested Development).

“I would have to say the last two years that [quitting] has crossed my mind, which it never did before.” She added that it “sucked the life out of me” and she thought, “I don’t know if this is what interests me.”

And while she didn’t mention which role made her reconsider her career path, she did admit that it was an “unprepared project” that she completed before The Morning Show—which earned her an Emmy Award nomination.

“It was an unprepared project,” she answered. “We’ve all been a part of them. You always say, ‘I’ll never again! Never again! I will never back up into a start date!'”.

Aniston went on to open up about what career path she’d take if she did decide to forgo her acting career. When asked by Hayes, she replied:

Interior design, probably. I love it. It’s my happy place. It’s really a happy place for me.”

The Friends alum has previously opened up about her love for designing, specifically in a 2018 interview with Architectural Digest.

“If I wasn’t an actress, I’d want to be a designer. I love the process,” she told the publication. “There’s something about picking out fabrics and finishes that feeds my soul.”

Whether it be acting or interior design, Aniston is sure to exceed our expectations.
