Johnny Depp’s Former Management Allege He ‘Violently Kicked’ Amber Heard

The claims appear in court documents filed in May

Johnny Depp’s former business managers have made explosive claims about the actor’s treatment of ex-wife Amber Heard by alleging he was physically violent during their relationship.

PEOPLE have obtained court documents filed by The Management Group that claim Depp physically abused Heard and attempted to cover it up. The documents allege Depp “violently kicked” Heard in or around 2014.

“[Joel Mandel, one of the managers,] was informed well after the fact through communications with various house staff and security that Depp had been extremely volatile and had sometimes ‘gotten physical’ with Heard,” the court documents claim.

“Mandel was also later informed that Depp had violently kicked Heard during an incident that took place in or around 2014.”

Heard filed for divorce in May, 2016, after a 15-month marriage, and requested a domestic violence restraining order against her ex.

Depp has previously denied all allegations of abuse, claiming they were “salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation, and lies,” Vanity Fair reports. The actor also accused his former wife of fabricating the allegations to “extend her fifteen minutes of fame.”

The documents obtained by PEOPLE are linked to a lawsuit between Depp and TMG.
