Karlie Kloss is expecting her first child with husband Joshua Kushner, People reports. A source close to the couple told the outlet the model is pregnant and due next year.
“Karlie is overjoyed to be expecting her first child in 2021,” the source said. “She will be the most amazing mother.”
The couple hasn’t publicly addressed the baby news just yet, however, Kushner recently posted a celebratory photo of his spouse in honour of their two-year wedding anniversary on October 18.
“Happy anniversary karlie. i pinch myself every day 😍,” he wrote.
The 28-year-old supermodel and 35-year-old businessman began dating in 2012 and got engaged in 2018. They celebrated their nuptials with two ceremonies—a small Jewish ceremony in New York and a second in Wyoming.
The couple’s relationship has been a contentious one over the years. Kushner is the brother of Jared Kushner, senior advisor to President Trump and Ivanka Trump’s husband.
Kloss has previously spoken out about her political views, most recently endorsing Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in her voting Instagram post.
“What’s your voting plan?” Kloss captioned her post. “This was mine—signed, sealed, (notarised), and delivered ✅ #voteBLUE #scienceoverfiction”
She also spoke out about her and Kushner’s views while appearing on an episode of Watch What Happens Live.
“I’m sure I’m not the only person in this country who does not necessarily agree with their family on politics,” Kloss said. “I voted as a Democrat in 2016, and I plan to do the same in 2020.”
She added, “My man and I have been through a lot together, and I’m so proud that he’s my partner. It’s not been easy, but it’s worth it, and I would make that same decision a million times again.”
