Kate Middleton’s First Outing For 2022 Included The Perfect Pair Of Flares

Kate and husband William were pictured visiting the Foundling Museum in London.

The future King and Queen consort of the UK are really hitting their stride—quite literally.

On Wednesday, January 19, Kate Middleton and Prince William attended their first official engagement of 2022 in London where they attended the the Foundling Museum.

For the occasion, Kate delivered us a look that encompassed the modest, yet chic silhouettes we’ll be relying on for the cooler months of of the year.

Wearing an old favourite Jigsaw coat, the Duchess of Cambridge added a basic black polo neck from Zara which complimented her black Jigsaw flare trousers—if we’re going to invest in anything this winter, it’s precisely this combo.

While the Duchess is known for her effortless merging of High Street style with high fashion (hello, $50 Zara polo neck), fans were even more hyped about her earrings, which cost a mere $3 from affordable brand, Accessorize.

To add, William and Kate provided fans with another rare gem when they shared a subtle PDA. The blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment came as Kate and Wills were exiting the museum. As they walked down the steps, Kate reached out to touch Wills, guiding him down the steps as they laughed together.

To the untrained royal eye, the move isn’t anything to write home about—but by royal standards, it’s unusual to see members of The Firm touch or show any kind of personal affection in public.

The couple’s visit to the museum, which was Britain’s first home for children at risk of abandonment, was in support of the work is does to help young people.

Taking to Twitter after the engagement, the pair shared some thoughts on the moving engagement.

“We were able to understand first-hand the impact of spending time in care in the UK and its links with employment, housing, mental health, addiction, and the youth justice system, and some of the work that is being done to tackle these issues.”
