Cheating scandal and all

Khloe Kardashian always ensures her daughter, True Kardashian, comes first, even after it became public that her partner at the time, True’s father Tristan Thompson, had cheated on her with her friend (we’re not even going to bother explaining this one because you definitely already know). However, the Good American founder isn’t pretending that it’s easy keeping a relationship with Thompson for the sake of True. Speaking to Ryan Seacrest over the weekend, said that it was initially “really hard,” especially given True’s first birthday was a few weeks later (Tristan attended the party which was held at Khloe’s Los Angeles home).

“True’s birthday was just a couple weeks after all of that stuff happened,” she said on On Air With Ryan Seacrest. “So everything was really raw and fresh, and that was really hard. You’re going to see that in the first episode [of Keeping Up With The Kardashians], really how we even came to the point where I even invited Tristan to her first birthday,” she continued.

“I always wanted that to be obviously a mummy and daddy thing. In my family it is everyone who is going through this breakup. So I knew in my family it was going to be a lot of high tension, but I still wanted to do what was best for True.”

At the time, sources close to Khloe revealed that she had requested for those invited to “not make it uncomfortable for Tristan and to just focus on True and this beautiful celebration.” They also revealed that during the day, Khloe and Tristan had “very little interaction.”

It looks like their co-parenting has come a long way since April though, with Tristan posting a shoutout to Khloe on her birthday, calling her “the most beautiful human I have ever met inside and out.”
