There are so many things we love about Kristen Bell. Her warm smile, incredible acting skills and perfect narration of one of the greatest noughties show, Gossip Girl, are just a few. Now, we have another to add to the list. In a video Bell posted to her Instagram story, the actress could barely keep it together while her husband, Dax Shepard and five-year-old daughter Delta discussed swearing.

It’s a conversation that every parent will have with their child someday, but its Kristen’s reaction to the discussion that really got us. While Bell fights back tears, you can hear Dax and Delta discussing calmly in the background the meaning of the middle finger gesture, with Delta proceeding to tell her dad that one of her male classmates uses the middle finger constantly in school.
"He says this is 'f--k,'" the little girl says. "He says that every time in school."
"He does? He's naughty," Shepard replies.
"The teacher says that's a bad word," continues Delta.
"Yeah, that's not a nice word," Shepard says. "You know, that that's a naughty finger and I never see you do that. It makes me so proud that you know that, yet you don't do it. Well you did it a couple of times when you were young, before you knew it was a naughty word."
He adds, "One time you couldn't get a shirt on in your bedroom and you let it fly. Then later that day, you were in the swimming pool and you let one fly. But since then you've really curbed it."
Kristen revealed in the story’s caption that she’d been "waiting for this conversation" since the day she got pregnant. "The one where we talk about what fingers mean." She then went on to praise her husband for the way he handled the difficult topic, especially in a public place.
We’re with you Kristen, we don’t know how he did it!
