Although the famous couple both use social media, they often avoid posting too much about their two daughters - Delta, 3, and Lincoln, 5.
But in a rare snap on Tuesday, Kristen shared a photo of her two girls playing on the beach while on a family holiday.
"Caked with sand on every inch, unshowered for 5 days, and loving that sand dune life," she wrote.
Shepard previously revealed his family's sense of adventure, telling Seth Meyers, “We go to the sand dunes on all of our vacations to go off-roading.”
