Kristen Stewart is notoriously private, but in a rare interview about her love life, the Charlie’s Angels actress opened up about her past relationship with her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson and her current with screenwriter Dylan Meyer, going as far as to say that she’s ready to propose to her girlfriend of three months.
Discussing her relationship with Pattinson, Stewart explained to Howard Stern that the two wanted to “keep it ours” and struggled over whether to share their romance openly or to hide it away from their huge fandom. “But then you deprive yourself of so many experiences,” she said. “We didn’t walk down the street holding hands because we were like, ‘We don’t wanna give it to ’em.’ But then, we didn’t get to walk down the street holding hands, and it sucked.”
“We were together for years, that was my first [love],” Stewart continued, before noting that Pattinson is “the best.”
Stern then asked the 29-year-old if she would have married Pattinson, to which she replied, “I don’t know. I wanted to…yeah, no, I’ve never been in…” she then started again: “I’m not a super duper traditionalist, but at the same time…every relationship I’ve ever been in, I thought that was it. I’ve never really been the most casual person.”
As for whether she’s currently in love with Meyer, who she was first linked to in mid-August, Stewart said, “Yeah…the answer is yes,” adding that she’ll “absolutely” propose and she and Meyer have talked about getting married. “I can’t f–king wait.”
