โ€œClarence House has confirmed today that, having consulted with his doctor, the Prince of Wales is now out of self-isolation,โ€ the spokesman indicated. However, as indicated on the official Centres for Disease Control and Prevention site, โ€œQuarantine for COVID-19 should last for a period of 14 days.โ€

Last week, the 71-year-old heir to the British throne revealed that he โ€œhas been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual,โ€ according to a statement released by Clarence House. His wife, Camilla Parker Bowles the Duchess of Cornwall, was also tested but does not have the virus.

โ€œIn accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland,โ€ the statement read.

โ€œIt is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.โ€

Prince Charles last visited his mother the Queen on 12 March.

โ€œHer Majesty The Queen remains in good health. [She] is following all the appropriate advice with regard to her welfare. We will not be commenting further,โ€ provided a statement released by Buckingham Palace.
