The Western Drama Will See The Return Of Its Favourite Ranchers.

Considering the cliffhangers Yellowstone’s third season finished on, fans are eager to know exactly which ranchers will be returning.

In December 2020, Kevin Costner, who leads the series as John Dutton, gave a vague update about his character (which has us seriously worried).

“I can’t say. There’s an ending that you’re gonna see, hopefully, it’s a powerful one for you,” he told Good Day New York, adding, “Just try to enjoy it right up to the end if you can.”

As for the other Dutton siblings—Luke Grimes (Kayce), Kelly Reilly (Beth), and Wes Bentley (Jamie)—as well as Cole Hauser (Rip) and Kelsey Asbille (Monica), you can breathe a sigh of relief, with all expected to reprise their roles in Yellowstone’s upcoming season.

The remaining characters, including the villainous Josh Holloway (Roarke Morris) and Karen Pittman (Willa Hays), remain uncertain, with creators and actors having remained hush-hush on their fates.

Notably, Australia’s own Academy Award-nominated Jacki Weaver will also be joining the cast, taking on the role of Caroline Warner; CEO of Market Equities.

Will Yellowstone End With Season 4?

While fans are yet to know exactly what kind of drama the Dutton’s are in for this season, many are already wondering if it will return for a fifth season (and sorry to say, nothing is certain just yet).

However considering just how popular the series is, we can safely assume creators aren’t done yet.

The Dutton Family’s Chronicle Will Continue, In A Prequel And Spinoff.

During the 2021 Super Bowl, Paramount announced that Yellowstone would be getting a prequel series: Y:1883, that will reportedly tell the story of the Dutton family in the late 19th century as they make their way westward to establish the Montana homestead.

It was also revealed that the popular series will be getting a spinoff, titled 6666. While details remain scarce, the synopsis suggests it’ll be set in a modern West Texas ranch. It reads:

Founded when Comanches still ruled West Texas, no ranch in America is more steeped in the history of the West than the 6666. Still operating as it did two centuries before, and encompassing an entire county, the 6666 is where the rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing one does is the next thing… The 6666 is synonymous with the merciless endeavour to raise the finest horses and livestock in the world, and ultimately where world-class cowboys are born and made.”

Yellowstone will premiere on the same day as the U.S. on Stan.
