Although initially unexpected, the couple’s pairing is now one we can’t imagine the world without; Meester and Brody having celebrated six years of marriage with a daughter in tow.
Proving once again that they are perhaps one of Hollywood’s most hilarious and down to earth couples, the pair jokingly addressed their uncanny pairing, revealing how they keep the Seth and Blair storylines alive in their current relationship.
In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight which has now resurfaced, the pair confirmed that they “occasionally” laugh about the fact that they ended up together. Leighton revealing; “Yeah, maybe occasionally. Not in the same way maybe you do.”

Adam then proceeded to joke about the pairs special annual date night activity, where they dress up as their on-screen characters – Leighton, channelling Blair Waldorf’s sassiness and Adam transforming into the always goofy Seth.
“Once a year—once a year, we have a Seth and Blair day, where we dress up,” Brody joked. “It’s good for a laugh.”
If all this talk of Gossip Girl and The O.C has left you feeling a little nostalgic, the good news is you won’t have to wait long for your Upper East Side cravings to be cured. In case you missed it, a Gossip Girl reboot has thankfully, been confirmed. Set to air on HBO Max in 2020, the 10-episode series will explore the modern trials and tribulations of New York’s elite.

When quizzed in April 2019, Meester confirmed that she was open to being part of the revival if she was ever approached. “No one’s ever asked me. No one’s ever talked to me about it except for in interviews, and I always say the same. I never say never. So, I don’t know. No one’s sent me that information, it’s coming from you.”
