The internet is going wild after a photo of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s daughter, Violet Affleck, 17, surfaced with the mother-daughter-duo looking exactly alike.
She was spotted with her dad and new step-mum Jennifer Lopez at billionaire CEO Michael Rubin’s Fourth of July party, and fans first thought it was Garner in the photo.
It’s a rare sighting of Violet, who has led a quieter life than other celebrity children, largely kept out of the spotlight and allowed to grow up in peace.
However, now almost an adult, we have seen her on a handful of public occasions, taking photos alongside her parents and looking oh-so gorgeous while she does so. Fans of Garner have remarked on her lookalike daughter, writing, “You could have told me that’s Jennifer Garner and I would’ve believed you. Wow.”

Who Is Violet Affleck?
Violet Affleck is the first child of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. Her parents were married in a private ceremony in Turks and Caicos in June 2005, and welcomed Violet in December 2005.
Her full name is Violet Anne Affleck, and she has two biological siblings, a sister, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth (born January 2009), and a brother, Samuel Garner (born February 2012).
Violet was just 10 years old when her parents announced their separation, in June 2015, but the couple still lived on the same property until mid-2017, when they finalized the divorce.
The couple have done their best to remain amicable, with Affleck telling the Sydney Morning Herald it was “a painful experience, even if you’re on the best possible terms and you agree it’s the best choice.”
How Tall Is Violet Affleck?
While Violet Affleck might take after her mother in terms of looks, she does have her father’s height. At age 17 she is already taller than her mother, Jennifer Garner, who is 5’7” tall.
Given that Ben Affleck is a sturdy 6’2” it appears the tall genes run strong in the Affleck brood. Her IMDb states that she’s nearly 5’8”, but more recent photographs of her suggest she could be more like 5’9”.
Why Is Violet Affleck So Private?
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have largely kept their children out of the public eye, in an effort to protect them while they’re young. In fact, in 2013 they actually hosted an event to raise money for a potential bill that would protect celebrity children from paparazzi harassment.
While Garner is known for her Instagram prowess, she’s publicly stated that she doesn’t allow Violet to have Instagram. “She’ll occasionally talk to me about getting Instagram, and I can see why because I’m on there and it’s something kind of fun that I do, and I am modeling the opposite of what I want for her to do,” she told People. “How often is that in parenting?”
“I just say, ‘When you can show me studies that say that teenage girls are happier using Instagram than not, then we can have the conversation.”
Why Does Violet Affleck Wear Glasses?
While mum Jennifer Garner has not let us in on why Violet needs her glasses, she’s been wearing a pair ever since she was around six years old. Unlike many who eschew glasses for contacts these days, Violet rocks beautiful frames on the regular, often opting for clear Perspex lenses in more recent years.

Given her parent’s acting prowess, it’s no surprise that Violet Affleck does have an IMDb page. However, she only has sparing details on there, not having moved into the film land too much as yet. She appeared on VH1: All Access in 2006 and was a dedicatee for her dad’s 2012 film Argo.
