7 Stars With Surprising Hidden Talents

More than just a pretty face!

Brad Pitt

After making his return to the spotlight at the Golden Globes earlier this year, fans were eager to see Brad Pitt follow suit at the Oscars – but sadly he was a no-show.

Well it turns out he didn’t go because he was too busy working on a sculpture. Yep. According to The Hollywood Reporter the star was holed up creating a sculpture at British artist Thomas Houseago’s Frogtown studio. Oh to see that sculpture!

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid might be taking the fashion world by storm but her first love is actually horse riding. Bella has been riding since she was a child and was an accomplished equestrian with her sights set on the Olympics before she had to give up her dream due to her Lyme disease.

“Bella had to give up her lifelong dream of having a professional riding career and a shot at the Olympics due to her severe symptoms and inability to ride,” revealed her mum, Yolanda Foster. “This was the biggest heartbreak of her life and an extremely sensitive subject for her. She is resilient and focused on a new direction–she’s made a name for herself in the modeling industry while she struggles with symptoms of chronic Lyme every day.”

Geena Davis

Bella isn’t the only star who had her sights set on a gold medal. Actress Geena Davis took up archery at 41 and ended up competing for a place at the Sydney 2000 Olympics Games.

“I took up archery at 41, just on a whim and became obsessed with it,” she told Entertainment Tonight in 2016. “I take everything too far,” she added. “I’m at the Olympic trials in my forties for something I just took up!”

“It was the most out-of-body experience I’ve ever had,” Davis admitted, saying that although the whole process made her “nervous,” “It was fabulous. I will never forget about it.” While she didn’t make the team then, she hasn’t ruled out a comeback. “I’m not competing currently,” she added. “There’s always 2020 in Tokyo!”

Bradley Cooper

Not only can the man act – and dazzle us with those baby blues – but he can also send us weak at the knees by speaking fluent French.

According to People, he was first inspired to learn it as a kid, after watching Chariots of Fire.

“There’s a scene where a guy was speaking French and I thought, ‘Man, that sounds so cool.” He ended up studying it at college and lived there for six months on an exchange.

Justin Bieber

When he’s not winning the hearts of tweens worldwide, Justin Bieber can be found casually solving a rubiks cube in less than two minutes.

Ricky Gervais

Talk about reinvention! Ricky Gervais was always destined for fame, but it seems it wasn’t always going to be as a comedian. Long before The Office and even longer before he was hosting the Golden Globes he had dreams of being a popstar as one half of 1980s synth duo Seona Dancing.

Pierce Brosnan

As if being James Bond isn’t enough, Pierce Brosnan is also an accomplished fire eater. Yep, you read that right. The actor studied circus art at theatre school during his younger days – but when he tried to show off his skills during an appearance on The Muppets TV Variety Show it didn’t exactly go according to plan.

“I did The Muppets… after I did the first James Bond movie, and they said, ‘We’d like you to be on the show. Do you sing or dance?’ and I said, ‘No, but I used to do a fire eating act…’ and so we incorporated this into the show… I blew fire.”

“I did the take but it was like rocket fuel and it came right back into my mouth… It’s on YouTube I think, and you see this blue flame and it just goes right back into my mouth.”
