To recap, season one follows Jen (Christina Applegate) as she grieves the loss of her husband. While attending a grief support group, she meets Judy (Linda Cardellini), and the two women quickly bond.

The new season picks up right after the events of the season two finale and the two ladies trying to keep the secrets buried. But there’s a surprising new visitor in town and Detective Perez (Diana Maria Riva) is hot on their heels, so Jen and Judy have to take drastic measures to protect their loved ones and each other…no matter the cost.

Netflix has announced the series will premiere on May 8.

Has A Second Season Been Confirmed?

Netflix has officially announced another season! According to the show’s creator, Liz Feldman “It would be the pleasure and honour of my life to do this show for as many seasons as makes sense. I would do this show forever if I could,” Feldman told the Hollywood Reporter.

What Will The Second Season Follow?

Feldman has hinted that she has some super-grim plans for a second season. “This show will always be a show that explores the dark sides and the light sides of grief, loss, forgiveness, and friendship. So suffice to say, there will be more darkness,” she says. “There’s an evening of the score and there’s a rebalancing that will take place and almost, in some ways, a role reversal.”

Will The Second Season Answer All The Cliff Hangers?

Feldman understands that she left us with some brutal cliff-hangers in the Dead to Me finale. She also says Steve’s death may have actually played out differently than we think. “Netflix will have to order a season 2 for us all to find out,” she said before the announcement of a second season, giving us hope that yes, there will be serious answers.
