As with the breakout season of DCC, the fans want to know everything they can about the elite athletes who’ve high kicked their way into our hearts once more. Especially as season 2 picked up just before the final round of auditions for the 2024/2025 squad, leaving us with plenty of questions about what the teammates have been up to IRL since filming wrapped in January this year.

From the DCC leadership team – headed up by Director Kelli Finglass and Head Choreographer, Judy Trammell – to the veterans, season 2 rookies and fan-favourite alums, here’s where each squad members stands as of now.

The DCC Leaders

Kelli Finglass

A former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader herself, the matriarch of the DCC universe, Kelli Finglass, became director in 1991 and spearheaded the squad’s strategy into the behemoth brand it is today.

Since filming wrapped on the 2024/2025 season, Kelli’s taken the squad on the road for a national press tour in the lead up to the new season. Apart from that, she’s been keeping it low-key with her family and responding to discourse about her supposed facelift. Posting to her Instagram, Kelli joined the likes of Kylie Jenner in sharing her exact beauty routine, putting to bed any out of hand rumours that might have started after season two hit screens.

As head choreographer for over four decades, this DCC alum has been keeping busy on tour with Kelli and the girls. When she’s not travelling from state to state on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Season 2 promotional tour bus, her focus has been at home, where milestone moments – like her son’s 40th birthday and the announcement of a fifth grandchild on the way – have been highlights of her postseason situation.

The Veterans

Chandi

When it comes to where the squad members of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 2 are now, Chandi is one of the most in-demand. The viewers have followed her journey as the longest running veteran to try out for the 2024/2025 season, so the investment is high.

In the latest season, Chandi revealed that she’s been known to work up to four jobs (not including her squadd responsibilities) just to meet her financial needs. Between working at a Pilates studio, as an administrative assistant for one of the DCC sponsors, and helping out her family’s mail-order pharmacy business, Chandi doesn’t have much time to herself. However, while her fellow veterans spent much of last year fighting for higher wages, Chandi admitted that it wasn’t something she felt comfortable doing.

“We do deserve to get paid a fair amount,” she says in the new season. “But at the same time, I’m here to dance because I love to dance. I can see both sides, and I support both sides.”

Off-season, she managed to steal away some time to celebrate fellow veteran McKenzie’s pregnancy, prior to little Hayes’ birth in March this year.

Reece

A fan favourite from the 2023 season, Reece rejoined the 2024 squad for season 2, only this year – as a newlywed, after marrying her college sweetheart, Will.

The couple celebrated their one-year anniversary in April with a sweet picture from their nuptials.

“I’m so thankful God placed you in my life and to have been a part of an incredible vendor team to document your beginnings as husband and wife” she captioned the post.

Armani

She was already a standout fan-favourite, but Armani won hearts around the world when she stepped out onto the field in the season 2 finale without her wig. Revealing her journey with alopecia in the latest season of America’s Sweethearts, Armani chose to honour her diagnosis in true style, sending the stadium into floods of applause, and some notable tears of pride from her parents in the stands.

Despite announcing that this season would be her last, Armani took part in the history-making pay negotiations, securing an income boost for the incoming team members. “Though I’m hanging up my boots, the memories, the friendships, and the legacy will forever live in my heart,” she captioned the post revealing the news in May.

Apart from her esteemed athletic career, Armani also holds a B.A in Criminology and Criminal Justice and is looking forward to pursuing her legal career with gusto now that her DCC days are behind her.

Jada

Like Armani, Jada announced in the latest series of the hit Netflix show that her fifth season would be her last.

Named as one of the 1st group leaders along with Chandi, Armani will hang up her boots on a career high. Although she’s likely set to return to her career as a cosmetics specialist, a recent Instagram post teased a pivot “from dancer to model” and honestly, there’s not much that could stop her with that face card.

Rookies

Charly

Fan-favourite Charly was one of the last hopefuls to be cut from America’s Sweethearts season one, but returned victorious in season two after making the 2024 team.

In December 2024, Charly shared her life-changing Pulmonary Embolism diagnosis with her followers. In the post, Charly wrote: “Going through this taught me to never take anything for granted, how much I truly love to dance, the power of prayer & how important taking care of yourself is and most importantly to LISTEN to your body.”

Since making a full recovery, Charly has been focusing on being the best DCC squad member she can be while pursuing partnership opportunities in her spare time for brands like Revolve and Tresemme.

Madie

Unlike some of her other teammates, Madie isn’t juggling her team duties with full time work. Instead, as the youngest member of the team, she’s still attending college at Texas Woman’s College in the nearby town of Denton.

While it might not be the full college experience she’d imagined for herself, Madie tells producers in season two that she wouldn’t change it for the world – despite its ups and downs.

“I had a really bad night at practice one night because I was so stressed with chemistry. Judy called me out for not knowing a dance, so the next day I didn’t pay attention in school and was watching the DCC videos in class,” she recalls in the latest season of America’s Sweethearts. “Hearing ‘tic-tic-boom’ and trying to learn quantum theories is crossing my brain.”

As Madie continues to juggle school and the squad, she’s also continuing to navigate the complexities of her long-distance relationship – a plot point we see play out across the season.
