Despite literal Meryl Streep starring in Big Little Lies season two, not to mention Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, it seems the real MVP of the series has already emerged – and not even Reese calling Meryl a “f*cking weirdo” could win her the title.
Laura Dern, who plays Monterey mum Renata Klein on the HBO show, has become an internet sensation after two episodes of absolute gold.
In the highly anticipated season premiere last week, Dern is seen posing for a magazine shoot in her luxurious home, wearing a metallic pink outfit and singing, “it’s my house and I live here.”
Then in episode two – spoilers ahead – after learning that her husband, Gordon, has been accused of securities fraud and lost all their money, Dern really ramps it up, screaming, “I will not NOT be rich” at him in jail, before kicking him of the car on the middle of the highway and flipping the bird through the sunroof.
