Just when we thought reality tv couldn’t get any more unhinged, Stranded On Honeymoon Island has washed ashore and with it, promises of a MAFS-meets-Survivor format and fresh cast of couples set to shake up the dating show game.
The Channel 7 series offers a refreshing twist on the tried-and-tested blind date formula with its radical plotline that matches couples and promptly dumps them on a remote island, leaving them to fend for themselves with nothing but the clothes on their backs. But not to worry – they’re also given a fruit basket, some essential survival tools (like an axe and some matches) and a bed – because it is their honeymoon afterall.
Fans of Married At First Sight will find comfort in the familiar strangers-to-potential-soulmates pipeline, while Survivor devotees will lap up the tasks set for each couple as they navigate the most unglamourous honeymoon imaginable.
Will the Stranded On Honeymoon Island cast adapt to the emotional elements? Or, will the reality of their forced commitment (or, rather, confinement) lead to mutiny before love has a chance to set sail?
One thing’s for sure – we’re in for a wild ride as we watch the couples attempt to coexist in a tropical setting that’s anything but the picture of paradise.

The first season of Stranded On Honeymoon Island will hit our screens on Monday June 23 at 7.30pm in the time slot previously reserved for Farmer Wants A Wife.
The show will air twice a week – on Mondays and Tuesdays – at 7.30pm, from then.
Meet The Stranded On Honeymoon Island 2025 Couples
Georgia & Chad
35-year-old Georgia from Victoria joined the cast of Stranded On Honeymoon Island after her previous fiance broke things off just three days before they were due to walk down the aisle. So, comparatively, being abandoned on a remote tropical island with her newly-betrothed will likely feel like a walk in the park for Georgia.
And, if the initial chemistry between Georgia and Chad, 47, is any indication of what’s to come, we might be looking at a match made to last. Or, at least last full 21 days of the experiment.
Jess & Sam
While 38-year-old Jess might be a professional relationship coach herself, the NSW-native has, so far, struggled to find the missing piece in her dating puzzle.
Joining the experiment in the hopes of finally finding the right man for her, the experts have matched her with Sam, a personal trainer from NSW. Although the 31-year-old may be seven years younger than Jess, the age-gap is of no consequence to the wellness warrior, whose history of dating older women has given him a self-confessed confidence that will hopefully provide the dynamic needed to win over Jess’ heart.
Emily & Tom
High-powered executive Emily, 29, has spent the last seven years as a single woman. Ready to make a business deal of the romantic kind, she’s signed up to Stranded On Honeymoon Island in the hopes of finding someone who’ll match her ambitious spirit.
Matched with business analyst Tom, 30, the pair could prove to be the power couple to beat this season.
However, in previews for the show, Tom did share his red flags and while we can’t help but agree with the “someone who hates dogs” or “is rude to their parents or siblings,” we’re not so impressed with his final flag – “a passion for astrology.” Which is a very Capricorn take, if we do say so ourselves.
Dani & Emanuel
Music producer Emanuel, 33, is ready to settle down after living the single life for the last two years. 35-year-old career coach Dani, on the other hand, is enjoying her “YOLO era.”
Seeking a partner who’s “ambitious, caring, smart, and beautiful on the inside and out” could Emanuel be the calm to Dani’s “sassy” storm? Only time, and a few weeks under the stars, will tell.
Brie & Byron
Dancer Brie, 29, isn’t looking for much. Just someone who’s “hot, beachy, smart, kind, bad boy, introverted, silly, funny, committed and adventurous [man] with good hygiene”. While it’s a list that might feel unrealistic to many, if there’s any hope of finding a perfect match in any of the fellow contestants, the experts are bound to find it.
Will she find a spark with self-described “easy-going, sentimental and thoughtful” 34-year-old electrician Byron? Or will Brie’s dating parameters prove to be a beachside buzzkill? We’ll be keeping our eyes locked on these two lovebirds to see how it shapes out.
Amy & Mike
Surely a pairing between two entertainment aficionados would be a match made in heaven? Let’s hope it’s the case for newlyweds Amy, 30, a TikTok influencer and comedian and television host Mike.
Amy is looking to the experts to find her with someone to right her previous relationship wrongs, choosing to enter the experiment as an attempt to try “something different to be successful in love.”
