Given how often we’re hoping in and out of lockdowns, there’s no better time to binge-watch an array of action-packed thrillers to give one’s never ending monotonous days some form of excitement.

And thankfully, Netflix’s latest offering has delivered all of that and more, thanks to Hit & Run

The nine episode, Hebrew-English international spy thriller sees two intelligence agencies battling head to head—against devious newsrooms and a corrupt White House—to partake in rather questionable wrongdoings, after Segev Azulai deep dives into the hit-and-run death of his wife.

Created by Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz (the brains behind popular Israeli drama Fauda) alongside Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin (The Killing), the season one cliffhanger saw audience’s on the edge of their seats, after its final moments saw Segev Azulai making a sudden dash across New York’s George Washington Bridge in the hopes of making it into New Jersey. However, he leaves behind a Mossad agent who lies dead and his daughter who remains missing, all so that he could cross the state border.

Has Hit And Run Been Confirmed For A Season Two?

As of now, Netflix is yet to confirm or deny a second season for Hit & Run. But given the cliffhanger ending and the internet’s sudden obsession with the series, there’s a high chance that we will see Segev on our screens once more.

Previously, Netflix hosted Raz’s show Fauda, which garnered a great amount of international acclaim, meaning that there could be a possibility for Hit & Run to secure a second season, especially since Raz was given the opportunity to write in that cliffhanger.

What Is Going To Happen In Hit And Run‘s Second Season?

From the jaw-dropping ending alone, season two will surely have to cover Segev’s daughter, Ella, who was kidnapped by the end of the first season. Fans also believe that a second season will teach us more about Danielle Wexler, a college student-turned-undercover-CIA-agent who finished the season by stabbing a man in a Tel Aviv car park.

And of course, the confusing situation between the CIA and Mossad is sure to be explained. Well, at least we hope it will be, because we’re certainly still scratching our heads.

Which Cast Members Will Be Returning For Hit And Run Season Two?

It’s clear that there would be no Hit & Run without Lior Raz to reprise his role as Segev Azulai, fighting against the Moussad. However, until confirmation around a second season comes through, fans can only hope to see those same faces on their screens.

Here’s hoping that among those who return are Sanaa Lathan as Naomi Hicks, Kaelen Ohm as Danielle Wexler, Moran Rosenblatt as Tali Shapira, Gregg Henry as Martin Wexler, Lior Ashkenazi as Assaf Talmor, Gal Toren as Ron Harel and Neta Orbach as Ella.

But while we wait, you can find us re-obsessing over season one on Netflix here.
