Fans of Emily In Paris are counting down the days until we are transported back to Paree to watch another season of drama unfold. In season three we can expect Emily (Lily Collins) to have to make some difficult decisions including whether to join Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) at her new firm, follow her heart and pursue a relationship with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and of course, leave Paris.
But not all the drama is reserved for Emily. Prepare to be introduced to a new character called Sofia Sideris this season, who, per Netflix, is “a beautiful Greek artist who has come to Paris to show at Camille’s (Camille Razat) gallery.” According to the streaming giant, “her time in the city takes an unexpected turn when she finds herself falling into a passionate affair.” Ooh, la la.
Sideris will be played by Greek-American actress Melia Kreiling, who you might recognise from Tyrant, The Last Tycoon, Salvation and a brief appearance in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. More recently she has gained attention for her performance in Amazon Prime’s Mammals (alongside James Cordon) as Amandine, a woman whose marriage is quickly put under the microscope after a traumatic miscarriage.
Kreling announced her joining of the cast in an Instagram post to her 58k followers in October, writing “Bonjour et Bienvenue. Joining the incredible cast of @emilyinparis for some international sizzling AMOUR. Playing dress-up has never been this much fun before.”
Who is Melia Kreiling?
The 32-year-old is no stranger to life in Europe.
She was born in Switzerland but spent most of her childhood in Athens and much of her twenties in The UK, where she moved to attend the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and later the London School of Dramatic Arts. These days Kreling is based in LA where she lives with her dog Ouzo.
Interestingly, Kreling has told reporters that she only got into acting after “a serious injury drew me away from contemporary dance”.
“My family were desperate for me to find something else to do with my life,” she said, which is how she ended up enrolling in drama school and pursuing an acting career.
Kreling is not the only new cast member joining the show this season, with Paul Forman coming on board as Nicolas de Leon, a crown prince who is described as being “a dutiful executive of his family’s high-powered conglomerate, JVMA.”
Who is Melia Kreiling dating?
In 2019 Kreling was linked to Creative Director at TBWAMedia Arts Lab, Evan Schiller. While the actress hasn’t posted an image of the pair on her social media accounts since 2019, it appears the two still follow each other on Instagram.
Interestingly, Kreling’s last “couple post” corresponds with the time that she started landing bigger roles in TV and movies, leaving fans guessing whether she has decided to press pause on relationships to focus on her career or if she is simply being more careful about what she posts to protect her privacy.

As mentioned, fans may recognise her in Tyrant, Filthy Rich, The Last Tycoon, Salvation and a brief appearance in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
She’s also gained attention recently for her leading performance in Amazon Prime’s Mammals, a six-part series released on the platform in November of this year.
