The LA-based musician, model and daughter of pop legend Michael Jackson is known for her grunge-chic approach to makeup and beauty. The star, who is also an ambassador for makeup brand KVD Beauty, reveals her favourite go-to products to marie claire Australia.

marie claire Australia: What’s your skincare routine?

Paris Jackson: In the morning I wash my face and apply vitamin C oil and sunscreen. At night I use a green tea moisturiser and organic oils.

MC: If we were to look in your beauty cabinet, what would we see?

PJ: Mainly essential oils and some KVD Beauty products, like the new Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and ModCon Liquid-Gel Contour.

MC: What are three beauty products you can’t live without?

PJ: Cleanser, aloe and sea-buckthorn oil.

MC: What is your go-to makeup look when you’re off duty?

PJ: KVD ModCon Liquid-Gel Contour, Tattoo Pencil Liner, and mascara.

MC: Do you have a particular red-carpet moment where you felt amazing?

PJ: The 2018 Met Gala for Stella McCartney, and the Givenchy spring/summer show in 2022.

MC: When do you USUALLY feel your most beautiful?

PJ: When I’m doing my nightly affirmations in my journal.

MC: What does beauty mean to you?

PJ: Beauty is a relative term that mainly comes from the heart and mind and translates to the exterior.

MC: What is one thing you love to do to help you unwind?

PJ: Play guitar and hang out with my cat and dog.

MC: What is the best beauty tip you’ve ever been given?

PJ: Affirmations are the most important tip because self-love is the only effective foundation to feeling beautiful. Makeup and other things can be a great addition to that, but if you don’t have a solid foundation you’re applying a lot on top of nothingness. It’s like painting a house that’s falling apart. Life taught me that.
