Speculation has been mounting that a divorce announcement is imminent from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Is it surprising these rumours are swirling yet again? Sadly, no.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been the centre of split rumours since they first started dating, all baseless we might add, but why are they louder than ever right now?
Letโs unpack.
Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Divorce Rumors
Itโs no secret many royal watchers have been waiting for the coupleโs demise since their very beginning, with distaste for the couple only fuelled by the decision to leave the UK and their formal duties behind them.
The couple have been going about their lives in the US since, quietly or not so depending on how closely you subscribe to their various endeavours from novels to Netflix deals. Lately however, separate outings and talks of a โprofessional separationโ have restoked the flames of Harry and Meghan divorce talk.
It began in October 2024, with Meghan attending the Childrenโs Hospital Los Angeles Gala without her husband. Not exactly reason for alarm, if you ask us.
Shortly after, a second solo appearance from the former Suits star was clocked, for the launch of Kadi Lee and Myka Harrisโ haircare line, Highbrow Hippie.

There was also an intimate dinner hosted by the Duchess for the Southern California Welcome Project through the Sussexesโ Archewell Foundation. Given the foundation was started by both Harry and Meghan, many considered the Dukeโs absence somewhat odd.
Meanwhile, Harry was making appearances at promotional events for the Invictus Games in Canada, an outing that was instantly met with โprofessional separationโ headlines. The couple certainly canโt be in two places at once, or perhaps thatโs a magical phenomenon expected from those with royal lineage.
Of course, this narrative of a professional separation and therefore looming divorce has been picked up and widely reported. This brings us to Harryโs recent comments about the speculationโฆ
Harry Shuts Down Meghan Divorce Rumours

Appearing at The New York Timesโ 2024 DealBook Summit on December 4, Harry was faced with questions about the state of his marriage to Meghan.
During the conversation, Dealbook founder Andrew Ross Sorkin asked the Duke what he thought of the rumours and online commentary.
โThereโs articles left and right about, you know, โWhy are you making, doing independent events? Why arenโt you doing them together?โโ Sorkin said.
Harry was quick to put rumours to bed, responding: โApparently, weโve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. Weโve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So itโs just like, what?'โ
โItโs hard to keep up with, but thatโs why you just sort of ignore it. The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls,โ he continued. โTheir hopes are just built and built, and itโs like, โYes, yes, yes, yes, yes,โ and then it doesnโt happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do.โ
There you have it, folks.
