Tara Reid Is Being Considered To Play Carole Baskin In A ‘Tiger King’ Adaptation

"She feels she could get into the character of Carole Baskin very well..."

When Netflix’s Tiger King hit our screens in the middle of the pandemic, it didn’t take long for the docu-series to become a worldwide cultural phenomenon. Unsurprisingly following the reunion episode, it was revealed that several other follow up projects were in the works – with some of our favourite celebs putting their hand up to play the titular characters (Dax Sheperd tweeted he was desperate to play Exotic).

It was recently announced that Nicolas Cage (sorry, Dax) would play Joe Exotic in a limited scripted series based on the 2019 Texas Monthly article, Joe Exotic: A Dark Journey into the World of a Man Gone WildKate McKinnon was also cast as Carole Baskin, and will executive produce, a series based on the Wondery podcast, Joe Exotic

Now it’s been reported that Tara Reid is being considered for the role of Big Cat Rescue’s (and Exotic’s arch-nemesis) Baskin, in one production. Considering McKinnon was signed on to play the role in Wondery’s adaptation, it could be that Reid and Cage will star alongside one another in the series adaptation.

She feels she could get into the character of Carole Baskin very well… and she has a similar look to [Baskin].”
