Meet Go-To Pinky-Nudey Lips: It’s the lip balm that sold out in two days, came back into stock and then sold out again.
Wondering what the fuss is about?
Well, there are two reasons. Number one is that Pinky-Nudey Lips is the brainchild of former beauty editor and skincare queen Zoe Foster Blake. She unveiled the new product to her 342 thousand followers on Instagram by posting a video (which has now been viewed 135 thousand times.)
Secondly, Pinky-Nudey Lips claims to be is the ultimate multitasking lip balm for low-key women. It contains a blend of butters, oils and ultra medical grade lanolin to keep your lips happy – especially in winter. While all this is happening, Pinky-Nudey Lips also gives your lips a part-pink-part-nude colour. (Hence the name, Pinky-Nudey Lips!) Oh, and it ALSO has SPF 15 sun protection. At just $17, the price point isn't bad either.
We put it to the test.
… And we liked it! As promised, the balm leaves your pout looking a little bit pinker and a little bit glossier than normal.
Also, it glides on like a dream and doesn’t require much concentration to apply. (Hell, you could even put it on without a mirror if you like.)
The only downside is that it isn’t long lasting. In order to keep up the tint, you’ll have to keep applying throughout the day.
For the record, Pinky-Nudey Lips is currently sold out (again). You can join the waiting list here.
While we're on the topic, if you’re looking for a lip balm/tint/gloss that achieves that coveted your-lips-but-BETTER effect, there are other products on the market also worth trying.
Take Estee Lauder Genuine Glow Reviving Oil Lip Tint for example. We tried it out and found the gloss to be nourishing, while also leaving your pout with a ‘just-kissed colour’.
This product comes in the form of a twist pen. Simply twist the top a few times until the lip tint comes out and apply directly to lips.
The colour is quite noticeable without being overbearing. We really like the rosy tint of this one! With the Estee Lauder Genuine Glow Reviving Oil Lip Tint, you also have the option of applying it over lipstick for a bold, glossy pout.
For $33, you can buy the Estee Lauder Genuine Glow Reviving Oil Lip Tint here.
Another honourable mention goes to Dior Addict Milky Tint. This tinted lip milk comes in six different variations of nude. It was a hard choice... but we decided to give the ‘Milky Pearl’ shade a whirl.
The Dior Addict Milky Tint can be applied using the bevelled shaped wand, which has a soft, foam texture. As promised, the tint is easy to apply and gives your lips a wet effect.
The beauty about this product is the fact that there are six shades of pastel to choose from. This means you have the ability to pick a gloss that suits your skin tone, mood, outfit etc. (The more options the better, we say.)
The Dior Addict Milky Tint retails for $52. You can purchase it here.
So there you have it: We’ve found three tints are universally flattering, while also giving your lips that polished/glossy/pinky look that we’re all *secretly* after. Now go forth and try them for yourselves!
