Back in September 2020, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry scored a deal with the streaming giant in order to focus “on creating content that informs but also gives hope… As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us. [Netflix’s] unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action.”
As for who reached out to whom, the publication also reported that it was Meghan who extended an olive branch to Kate when it came to potentially working together, saying that, “Kate is very flattered, and it’s all very positive between them”, adding that the two are “closer than ever” nowadays.
The swelling rumours surrounding Kate and Meghan's reported rift ran rampant even before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down for their royal duties. During the emotional tell-all with Oprah back in March, Meghan made it clear that it was in fact Kate, who made her cry just before her royal wedding to Harry, and not the other way around as the media had proclaimed.
“The reverse happened,” Markle said. “I say that not to be disparaging to anyone because it was a really hard week [of the 2018 wedding], and she was upset about something. She owned it and she apologised, and she brought me flowers and a note apologising. She did what I would do if I knew I hurt someone.”
Here's hoping that the famous foursome are back in the good books once again.
