When they announced that they were separating, Miley’s rep quoted their “ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals” as the reason behind their split, further saying they had “decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers". It felt a lot like a rational decision with no mention of drifting apart or falling out of love.
Sometimes, love is just not enough to keep a couple together. But it certainly makes breaking up a lot harder to deal with.
Now that Miley is home from her wild Italian vacation and back to reality, it seems the thought of life without Liam is hitting her hard.
A source told People, “They had many happy days together in L.A. and now Liam is not around. It’s hard for her to be back in L.A. without him.” The source also commented, “Miley is okay, but you can tell she isn’t 100 per cent happy”, adding that “she hasn’t talked to Liam”.
Liam is currently in Byron Bay, spending time with his family.
We all know absence makes the heart grow fonder and the good news is, according to a source, Miley and Liam aren’t rushing to get a divorce: “They both agreed it’s better to spend time apart, but this doesn’t mean their relationship is completely over”.
“Miley has not been talking to an attorney or thinking about divorce. She wanted the marriage to work and is still willing to give it time. But going through this in the public eye has made things a lot messier and a lot more difficult. She doesn’t really know what to do or what will happen next."
