Unsurprisingly, Boy Swalllows Universe comes in at number one this year.

Written by Australian writer Trent Dalton, the coming-of-age novel has sold more than 160,000 copies since being published in July 2018 and was inspired by the author’s own upbringing in Brisbane.

With news that his debut book will be translated to the small screen in the near future, now is the time to flick through the pages first.
