Following on from her breakout performance as Princess Diana in Netflix’s The Crown, Emma Corrin stars alongside former One Directioner-turned-film-star Harry Styles in a new queer drama.
The duo—who happen to have met previously when the actress revealed that Styles once dogsat her pup, Spencer—star in Amazon’s My Policeman, the film adaptation of Bethan Roberts’ 2012 novel of the same name.
Oscar-nominated writer Ron Nyswaner, of Philadelphia fame, signed on to adapt Roberts’ novel, with Tony Award winner Michael Grandage having signed on to direct.
It’s the next project for Styles, who made his feature film debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk and stars in Olivia Wilde’s thriller, Don’t Worry Darling—the surrounding press tour of which has been just as dramatic as the film itself.

What Is My Policeman About?
Roberts’ original novel, released in 2012, tells the story of Tom, a gay policeman living in Brighton, England, in the 1950s, who weds schoolteacher Marion.
Years later, Tom strikes up a romance with a man named Patrick, a museum curator, and due to the constraints of the era, Marion and Patrick must secretly share him, “until one of them breaks and three lives are destroyed.”
When Will My Policeman Be Released?
While the film was released in cinemas on October 21, My Policeman is available to stream on Amazon Prime from November 4.
