Apparently, Netflix Is Ruining Couples’ Sex Lives

Netflix and zero chill

It seems people are taking the term Netflix and chill far more literally these days with a new study revealing the site may be the reason couples are having less sex.

The research reveals that the busiest hour for internet use is now between 10pm and 11pm, driven by people using the time to catch up on their favourite shows. Guilty as charged.

Though the findings don’t mention sex specifically, they support a warning from University of Cambridge’s Professor David Spiegelhalter, who said in 2016 that couples are less interested in sex because they watch more TV in bed.

The figures showing falling rates of sex are due to the “mass of connectivity” we have now “compared with just a few years ago when the TV used to close down at half past ten,” Spiegelhalter noted.

We don’t know about you, but we’d take the new season of The Crown over getting down and dirty anytime.
