Honey Boo Boo’s Sister, Anna ‘Chickadee’ Caldwell Has Died

Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell has died following a 10-month battle with cancer.

Anna was the eldest of June “Mama June” Shannon’s four daughters, and the sister of Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, and Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird. The four sisters starred on the reality program, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo with their mother, June.

The 29-year-old’s death was announced on social media by her family. Alana posted a picture of her sister on Instagram with the caption, “”Last night we all surrounded Anna with love & let her know it was okay to go.”

“Unfortunately around 11pm Anna took her last breathe. Anna was in so much pain last night but now as a family we all know she is at peace now. I really don’t know what to say as my heart is completely broken.”

Anna is survived by her partner Eldridge Toney, and their daughters, 11-year-old Kaitlyn and 7-year-old Kylee.

The 29-year-old first announced her cancer diagnosis during an Instagram live session in March, when she told her fans that she had been diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. Since then, Anna has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy.

“I’m excited that she at least had seen me get through my first semester of college,” Alana said in a TikTok video. “I really wish she would’ve seen me graduate but that’ll be OK because she’s going to be watching over me.”

Other members of Anna’s family have also shared their tributes, with June posting a photograph of the family on Facebook alongside a tribute to her daughter.

“This was our last family photo together that we will always treasure,” she said. “We love you Anna.”

Anna’s sister, Lauren posted an Instagram story with the caption “Fly high sweet angel,” while her sister Jessica also took to Instagram with a tribute.

“Everyone it hurts so say this but We lost @annamarie35 last night!” Jessica wrote. “It’s hard to think that my sister is gone she was so young and had a bright future ahead of here. She will always be with us and we love and miss her already!!”

Jessica continued, “Y’all keep our family and them two sweet baby of hers in your prayers !! Anna I love you and just know we got Katilyn and Kylee for you they will be taken care of.”
