Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Shared The Sweetest Throwback Photo From Australia

Aww!

They may have left their personal social media behind, but that doesn’t mean Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can’t make an image go viral—and the most recent photo of the couple to make the rounds is for the sweetest reason.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex got sentimental this week, looking back on a particularly special moment from their 2018 royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga.

Royal correspondence collector @gertsreplies shared a photo of the Sussexes’ thank you card on Instagram, revealing the message inside on their blog“Thank you for your thoughtful message. We appreciate your kind words and the time you have taken to write to us on this special occasion. Sending you our warmest wishes. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”

For the card, the Sussexes chose a throwback photo from their time in Australia—more specifically, in the New South Wales country town of Dubbo—where Meghan holds an umbrella over her and her husband as Harry makes a speech during the rain about the importance of mental health.

“You need to know that part of being strong and tough is having the courage to seek help when you need it,” the Duke said at the time. “You must not silently suffer. You are all in this together.”

“And, if I may speak personally, we are all in this together,” he added. “Because asking for help was one of the best decisions that I ever made. You will be continually amazed at how life changes for the better.”

While the pair have since stepped down from their roles as senior members of the royal family and relocated to Montecito, California, with their son Archie Harrison, they continue to respond to letters and messages via Prince Charles’ Clarence House, which handles all royal family fan mail.

Royal fans may also remember that same day Prince Harry had an adorable encounter with a young boy while visiting local children from Dubbo schools.

Five-year-old Luke Vincent was pictured hugging the royal and stroking his beard, as wife Meghan laughed alongside them.

The moment was particularly adorable, as the newlyweds had announced that same week they were expecting their first child.

For their 2020 Christmas card, the Sussexes opted for an artistic approach as opposed to the traditional portrait favoured by members of the royal family.

The couple chose to feature an illustrated recreation of a candid snapshot, which was originally taken at their home by Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.

The photo included the couple. their young son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, and their two beloved dogs, Guy and Pula.
