Weaving first announced she was expecting the bub in expectedly chic fashion back in December 2025 during the press tour for her film, Ready Or Not.

Naturally, the star took to Instagram to share the news, showing off her growing bump while on the press tour for the film’s highly anticipated sequel. Equal parts polished and playful, the carousel captured Weaving glowing as ever.

From a chocolate-brown sequined gown to a sheer black lace top paired with fluid silk pants, her looks were a masterclass in modern pregnancy dressing.

Ready or Not: Here I Come 😏” she captioned the post, cheekily nodding to the film that helped define her career while debuting the pregnancy news.

While the actress didn’t directly address her announcement or share further details, the post was swiftly flooded with congratulations from fans and A-list friends alike. Fellow Australian actresses Phoebe Tonkin and Claire Holt were among the first to celebrate, alongside Sarah Hyland and Lucy Boynton, who all chimed in with messages of love and excitement.

Samara’s husband Jimmy also joined in on the fun, commenting with a tongue-in-cheek: “congrats! Who is the dad?”

The pair first met on the set of The Babysitter in 2017, where Samara starred as the film’s breakout lead, Bee, while Jimmy worked behind the scenes as a producer. Their on-set collaboration soon turned into a real-life romance.

Just two years later, in 2019, the couple became engaged before quietly tying the knot in a private ceremony. It wasn’t until 2022 that they publicly confirmed they had married — a typically low-key move for the famously private pair.

Now, with a baby on the way, it’s clear the couple are entering their next chapter and, true to form, they’re doing it entirely on their own terms.
