The future of musical festivals has been looking rather grim of late with the likes of Splendour In The Grass and Blues Fest coming to an end, but that’s only seemed to bolster the 2025 Spilt Milk line up.
One of the few remaining major music festivals announced its 2025 line up this morning and it is seriously star-studded.
Headlining Spilt Milk this year is recently appointed Chanel ambassador Kendrick Lamar as well as and Grammy award-winning artist, Doechii.
With one of the biggest line ups music fans have seen in some time, the festival is no doubt going to make for a major pop culture moment here in Australia. Here’s what you need to know.
Will Kendrick Lamar Or Doechii Do A Side Show?
If slushing around in the mud and reviving your 2010s boho crochet to attend a festival isn’t for you, that’s okay, many festivals like Spilt Milk host side shows. Side shows are separate music gigs held separate from the festival so fans can see a show solely from their favourite artist from the line up.
Unfortunately, it’s unlikely Kendrick Lamar will do a side show from his 2025 Spilt Milk appearances. Typically, the headline act is signed exclusively to the festival to boost ticket sales.
However, there is still hope for Doechii fans. While a Doechii side show is not yet confirmed, and likely won’t be for some time, the artist hasn’t been listed as an exclusive artist and may yet announce extra performances. Stay tuned.

The full dates and venues for this year’s festival are as follows:

- Sunday, December 7 — Claremont Showground, Perth
- Saturday, December 13 — Exhibition Park, Canberra
- Sunday, December 14 — Gold Coast Sports Precinct, Gold Coast

When Are Tickets On Sale?
There are three stages of tickets sales for the 2025 Spilt Milk festival: ticket request, pre-sale and general public sale.
Ticket request for the festival begins on May 2nd and runs until May 6th. This allows you to “request to secure a ticket” and if successful, you ticket will be automatically purchased when they go on sale.
Pre-sale begins on May 8 at the following times: Canberra from 8AM AEST, Ballarat from 9AM AEST, Perth from 8AM AWST and Gold Coast from 11AM AEST.
General sale will then open on May 9th at the following times: Canberra from 8AM AEST, Ballarat from 9AM AEST, Perth from 8AM AWST and Gold Coast from 11AM AEST.
